We have always been popular for our big selection of conventional and organic produce. In fact, over 18 years ago, we started the original open-air 17th Street Farmer’s Market, which later became The 17th Street Market, our retail store.

    Today, we continue to offer the largest  selection of organic produce in Southern AZ, and we buy only the freshest local and regional produce. We truly live by our marketing slogans… The Best is Fresh, and Quality is Everything.

Why Go Organic?

We’re on our soapbox here, but we really do believe that you should consider eating organic foods, if not for your own health, then for the health of your family and the environment. Here’s why:

    Organic fruits and vegetables both contain high levels of beta carotene, Vitamins C, D and E, along with cancer-fighting antioxidants that help ward off heart disease.

    Consider too, that on average, organic produce is more nutritious in terms of vitamins and minerals than conventional produce.

    Organic  fruits and vegetables are more flavorful, and naturally taste better. Safer too, because growers of organic produce use no herbicides or pesticides, and good for the environment, humans and other living things because they are not genetically modified.

    And here’s our big selling point… organic produce in our store is only slightly higher in cost than conventional produce, and in some cases even less expensive.

The17th Street Market is owned by Tucson Food Service – the largest family-owned wholesale grocery and produce supplier in Southern Arizona.

    Our reputation for quality is well-known, and because of our wholesale purchasing power, and access to hundreds of food vendors and growers, we are able to buy the best groceries and produce at the best price.
